Atatee yadh bhavan hanhi kaananam
trutir-yugaayate tvaam-pashyataam,
Kutil-kuntalam shri-mukham cha te
Jada udikshtaam pakshm krid drishaam.
O our beloved, during the day, when you go off to the forest,
every moment (without seeing you) passes like a yug (age).
When you return in the evening and we eagerly look upon your
most beautiful face framed with curly locks, our pleasure is
