About Asha Sudhaker Shenoy
I was interested in sketching right from the age of 7 years when my father put me on his lap and taught me how to draw simple human faces. That was the beginning and then I learned drawing and sketching by observing nature , photographs and human beings. My favourite subject was the human form and the sketching continued. When my father bought me a watercolor paint set and a couple of brushes and I dabbled in painting. This continued till I finished my college and then I got married and the family became my priority. When all my duties have been finished and my sons grew up into men, I resigned my job to plunge into my favorite hobby of art. I love paintings by Vermeer, Rembrandt, Modigliani, Da Vinci, Reuben, Mary Cassatt, Van Gogh, Monet, Manet ... and the list has no end! But my love is painting the human form, the portraiture, capturing the mood of the person! I have just started in a big way and hope the people visiting my artworks enjoy themselves.
